Heritage Days and Sweet Corn Festival:

July 26-27, 2008

The fourth annual “Windmill Heritage Fair” is a two-day event featuring demonstrations and exhibits by the Adams County Olde-Tyme Association showing life in the late 1800s.

We are also planning to have entertainment by area bands and a flea market.

Sandwiches and ice cream will be available throughout Saturday.

On Sunday the Sweet Corn Festival features fresh area-grown sweet corn, world-famous grilled Windmill Pork Chops, bratwursts, potatoes and gravy, applesauce, sauerkraut salad and other assorted salads, assorted homemade desserts, coffee and iced tea.  Don’t worry about the heat; serving will be in the air-conditioned Windmill Hall.  Serving starts at 11:00 AM and continues until 1:30 or until we run out of food.

The Prairie Mills Windmill, the Windmill Gift Shop and the Golden Museum will be open extended hours, on Saturday (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM) and on Sunday (10:00 PM to 5:00 PM).
